Thanks for visiting Stay Home Husband! I hope you hang out a while and visit often.
I started this site in June of 2019 when I quit teaching. It was going to be a way to document my life as an aspiring writer. I envisioned writing small pieces about the day-to-day life of being at home cooking, running, exploring Boston, traveling the country as I tried my rebuilding process as a person.
In June of 2020, I decided to try and play every golf course in Massachusetts, and with that goal my thinking and writing has become more focused on golf, but I also continue to write about other sports, pop-culture, and random thoughts that percolate and deserve some attention.
If you’re wondering where to start, I’ve selected a few samplings for you to try.
Finding my new identity. Life after teaching.
Cape Cod Country Club is on the Brink of Becoming a Solar Field.
A personal piece about witnessing a hole-in-one on a father-son golf trip.
A piece about my college memories of playing Yale GC
A piece about habits and making time for gratitude.
SOME OTHER PLUGS:
If you like golf photography, I document each of my rounds on Instagram, I share random musings on Twitter, I interview various golf people on my Imperfect Game Podcast, I talk soccer history on The Second Pint Podcast, and my wife and I like to talk about TV on The Random Division (The O.C. Season 1 is coming in May!).
